Hi Jeanette, I can see why you would assume this, but not quite. That's an incorrect assumption. I write a plethora of articles myself, just like this one. I am about as anti-American as you can get at the moment. I speak with friends and loved ones often about how terrible our country is right now. How corrupt, lacking in empathy, lacking intelligence, etc. So I agree that our country right now is the worst.
Yet. No entire group of people or whole country is any "one" thing. That's like saying, "Germans are racist" or "women are nurturing" or "the French are cold" or "Russians are cruel" etc etc. This is basic intellect 101, knowing this, that no one city, group of people, ethnicity, etc, is "one way."
So no, Americans are not psychopaths. A lot of them are, yes. And a lot of them are not, and many who are not are devastated and distressed and angry about everything that is happening here right now.
That is the point I was getting at.
