I never said lust and desire were unimportant in the article. I agree. Love without desire is, like you said, friendship and is platonic. I am merely pointing out that all the movies, books, and even real-life people who claim “I’m in love” after a few weeks, that this may be lust and excitement and immense liking, but that they simply do not know the person well enough yet for it to be real love.
