That is true, Van. You’re right. People do experience love in different time frames. Absolutely. And yes, for ages, people, psychologists, philosophers have struggled to define love. It’s mysterious, complex, and in many ways, impossible to explain or quantify. Two books that do an excellent job, though, of their discussions on love: The Art of Loving by Erich Fromm and How to be an Adult in Relationships by David Ricco. Both are superb. And both touch on the concept I outlined in my article.
