This is a great article, Lee. Especially the parts about “you are 100% responsible for your own experience” (quite timely especially now), and “reacting with anger is a sign you need to do more work.”

We have this incorrect adage here in the U.S. Work hard,pull yourself up by your bootstraps, and you’ll do great. Not necessarily so. A lot of that also depends on your circumstances, your family, your race, who you know, etc.

And yes, we’ve made anger (especially in women) out to be something bad. Anger isnt automatically negative. It depends on how it’s used. On the contrary, anger can be an important agent for change, speaking out, or standing up.

Great article. You posed a lot of insights I hadn’t considered prior!
