Yesssss!! Thank you, Jessica. Cutting right to the core of the issue/point. I love this.

Wearing a mask is not a freedom issue, nor does it have anything to do with the “devil.” It’s a matter of health, life, and death.

You could not have said it better. I am aghast that so much of our country is making wearing masks anything other than about health. That it's become a point to grandstand about, challenge, and push back on, with regard to politics, a supposed sense of freedom they think a little cloth mask somehow diminishes, you name it.

Does wearing a shirt and shoes into a restaurant, cause people to make such an insane stink? Nope. People just do it, because it's the rule and it's a health code regulation. The idea of wearing a mask right now is exactly the same thing, except far more urgently. We've gone off the deep end as a country.

I am so deeply worried for this country. It seems we've lost any sense of logic...empathy...intelligence...concern for others and the greater good. It's all mind-blowing and terrifying. I an afraid we are losing our sense of humanity here.

We need more people writing articles like yours. Thank you.
